The terms that govern use of the Everna Bookkeeping website.
1. Website operator
This website is operated by Expert Accounting Inc., an incorporated Alberta company, operating under the name Everna Bookkeeping ("Everna", "we", "us"). Our business address is Unit 504, Centre 104, 5241 Calgary Trail, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. By using this website you accept these terms; if you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. Informational purpose only
The content of this website is general information about the bookkeeping services we offer. It is not accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice, and it must not be relied on as a substitute for advice specific to your situation. Decisions about your books, taxes, or business should be made with your own qualified advisors.
3. No engagement formed through this website
Submitting an enquiry, using the service-finder tool, or booking a call does not create a client relationship or any obligation on either side. Bookkeeping services are provided only under a separately signed written engagement agreement that sets out the agreed scope, fees, and responsibilities. Until that agreement is signed, we are not your bookkeeper and owe you no professional duties.
4. Fees and quotes
We do not publish fixed prices. Fees are quoted individually based on the scope of work, transaction volume, and complexity, and are confirmed in a written proposal before any engagement begins. Catch-up bookkeeping and separately scoped options such as payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable are quoted separately. Any figure discussed before a signed agreement is an estimate only.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse this website. In particular, you must not: submit false, misleading, or another person's information; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems; use automated tools to scrape or overload the site; or submit sensitive financial information, passwords, or government identification numbers through the enquiry form. We may block or report misuse.
6. No uploads or credentials
This website does not accept uploads of financial documents and does not ask for accounting software passwords or login credentials. Anyone claiming to be Everna who asks for your Sage, QuickBooks, or banking password outside your own software's official access controls is not acting for us — do not share it, and contact us at clients@everna.com.
7. Third-party links and software
This site links to third-party resources, including official Sage and QuickBooks help pages. Those sites are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or availability. Sage and QuickBooks are trademarks of their respective owners; references to them describe the software we work within and do not imply endorsement or partnership.
8. Intellectual property
The text, design, and artwork on this website are owned by or licensed to Expert Accounting Inc.. You may view and share links to the site, but you may not copy, reproduce, or reuse its content or design for commercial purposes without our written permission.
9. Limitation of liability
This website is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Expert Accounting Inc. is not liable for any loss arising from use of, or inability to use, this website or reliance on its content, including indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here affects the terms of any signed engagement agreement, which governs the services themselves.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Any dispute relating to this website is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with its effective date, and continued use of the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.
